Job Details
The Lead Architect plays a pivotal role in shaping the vision, quality, and execution of architectural
projects. Their responsibilities span creative leadership, technical oversight, and coordination across disciplines.
1. Design Leadership
• Concept Development: Lead the creation of design concepts that align with client goals, site
context, and regulatory requirements.
• Design Direction: Guide the design team through all project phases—from schematic design to
construction documents.
• Design Quality Control: Ensure the design maintains a high standard of quality, creativity,
functionality, and aesthetics.
2. Client and Stakeholder Engagement
• Client Presentations: Present design proposals and updates to clients, incorporating feedback
into the design process.
• Stakeholder Coordination: Collaborate with Clients, Design Consultants, Sub-consultants, and
public authorities to align design with broader project goals.
3. Technical Oversight
• Design Integration: Work closely with Specialty sub-consultants, structural, MEP, Landscape and
civil engineers to integrate systems seamlessly into the architectural design.
• Code Compliance: Ensure designs meet local building codes, zoning laws, and sustainability
standards.
• Material and System Selection: Make key decisions on materials, finishes, and construction
systems.
4. Team Management and Mentorship
• Team Leadership: Supervise junior architects, designers, and interns, providing guidance and
feedback.
• Resource Planning: Allocate design resources effectively to meet deadlines and project
milestones.
• Mentorship: Foster professional growth within the team through knowledge sharing and design
critiques.
5. Project Coordination
• Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and consultants to
ensure cohesive project delivery.
• Schedule and Budget Awareness: Support project planning by aligning design decisions with
time and cost constraints.
6. Innovation and Research
• Design Trends: Stay informed about emerging design trends, technologies, and sustainability
practices.
• Tools and Software: Promote the use of advanced design tools (e.g., BIM, parametric design) to
enhance design quality and efficiency
